Suzuki got its first start in the motorcycle business when they began manufacturing motorize bicycles. During the 1950’s, 1960’s as well as into the 1970’s, Suzuki manufactured motorcycles with two-stroke engines, with the largest of them being that of the water cooled triple cylinder engine. This particular engine was found in the GT750. Suzuki’s had a great deal of success with its two stroke engine and that was due to in part by the Grand Prix races in 1961. Suzuki was able to establish their selves in the world of motorcycle racing by winning many championships in the elite 500cc division of road racing. To this day Suzuki is still winning championships and competing in MotoGP races and last one the title in the 2000 season.
